Hatcher is a former legislative director for six-term Republican representative Scott McInnis of Colorado, who served on the Ways and Means Committee. With six years of experience working on tax and trade issues for McInnis, Hatcher hooked up with Williams and Jensen in 2004 to focus on the same issues and build up a clientele base that numbered more than 60 in 2011. In the first three quarters of the year, he helped bring in nearly $7.9 million. His leading client, Owens-Illinois, Inc., is a Fortune 500 company headquartered in Perrysburg, Ohio, that specializes in glass container products and took a heavy interest in congressional approval of the Columbia Free Trade Agreement, as well in as a series of measures affecting the rate of excise taxes on beer, taxes on soda, and recycling. Hatcher’s client list also includes several Fortune 100 companies: General Electric—which sought his lobbying efforts on behalf of the Joint Strike Fighter alternate engine program it was building with Rolls Royce—as well as Sunoco, Comcast Corp., Dell, Merck & Co., Coca-Cola Co., and the American Chemistry Council. He also has worked on behalf of United Airlines on FAA reauthorization and homeland security issues. Hatcher works alongside another former Hill staffer, Jenny Dijames, who was a legislative director for Democratic representative Bud Cramer of Alabama, a long-term member of the House Committee on Appropriations and Select Committee on Intelligence, who also became a lobbyist. Dijames’ expertise on appropriations issues has helped her garner many clients since joining the firm in 2005, where she has since been named a principal, and in the first three quarters of 2011 served clients who paid a total of $6.4 million.
